The perfect respite from your busy Silicon Valley day, this furnished apartment is a 7 minute walk from Castro Street with its shops and restaurants, plus the Caltrain and VTA stations, from which you can go throughout Silicon Valley or up to San Francisco. There are also numerous tech company shuttles, like the Big G, the Big A, the Big M, plus smaller companies like Symantec. Also nearby are major thoroughfares like El Camino Real and California Ave, while highways 101, 85, and 280 are about 5 minutes away.

The apartment has every amenity you need: a modern fully-stocked kitchen, TV with cable, wifi, workspace, comfy bed, updated bathroom, and air conditioning (portable unit, vented through a window). While we don't have on-site or garage parking, plenty of parking is available on the street. There are private laundry machines reserved for this unit in the building. (Zillow says they are shared, but that's not correct. There are laundry machines reserved just for this unit.)

For $80/month extra, we will include two monthly cleanings. Each cleaning costs us $80, so while we lose money on this offer, it enables us to offer more employment to our cleaners, and ensures that you're living in a pristine environment!

We ask for a $125 per month utility fee, which covers all utilities: water, sewer, garbage, recycling, electricity, gas, Internet, and basic cable TV. We also ask tenants to purchase tenant insurance, which typically costs $15 to $20 per month.

We require a credit score of 720+, verifiable income of 3X rent, proof of having paid rent on-time for the last year, clear background and eviction check, landlord references, and a 1-month deposit. We will sign a standard California Association of Realtors lease agreement.

The Caltrain station is also there, from where you can get a train up to San Francisco in 40-60 minutes, depending on the time of day. The apartment is also quite near to Stanford Hospital and PAMF / Sutter.

Located by downtown Menlo Park and Palo Alto, it's also near Sand Hill Road and large employers like Meta, Tesla, VMWare, Amazon, Microsoft, Stanford, and the VA Hospital. Numerous hikes in the nearby Baylands also beckon. Business or pleasure settle in, and relax!

The entranceway is via the front patio, which has a seating area that's perfect for dining or working outdoors in our California sunshine.

On entering the apartment itself, you'll be greeted by a warm, inviting living area, with a comfy and tasteful couch and chair, along with warm carpeting, a TV, end tables, and a credenza. The living area also has a workspace.

The kitchen is well-equipped for all your cooking needs, including pots and pans, silverware, dishware, wine glasses, drinking glasses, etc., as well as basic spices. There is a fridge, microwave, stove, oven, dishwasher, and washer/dryer.

The main bedroom has a king-sized bed perfect for sprawling out on and getting a good night's rest and plenty of closet space. The second bedroom has a full-size bed and great closet space again.

The bathroom has dual sinks and a shower-tub combo.

Downtown Menlo Park, centered on Santa Cruz Ave, is less than a mile away, and is a great place to drink coffee, eat out, or window shop the various stores. It's a leisurely 15-20 minute walk. Bustling downtown Palo Alto, anchored on University Ave, has a myriad of fantastic restaurants, coffee shops, and high-end boutique stores, and is about the same distance.

Menlo Park and Palo Alto both have Caltrain stations, from which you can zip up to San Francisco on our brand new shiny "bullet-ish" trains in just under 45 minutes. Other than Caltrain, this part of Silicon Valley doesn't have great public transit, so you'll likely need to rent a car, or take Uber or Lyft.
