1) When to start looking
You should begin to look for an apartment approximately 30 - 45 days before you intend to move. It does not make sense for you to begin looking before this as none of the apartments you see will be available when you want to move.  We will only hold an apartment up to 30 days from the anticipated move in date

2) What to expect when looking for an apartment
Be prepared to rent the apartment on the spot. In the current market, rental apartments rarely stay available for more than a couple of days. Be prepared to submit: proof of income (two recent paystubs, bank statements, Budget Sheet, W2, 1099) and proof of residency (utility bill).  If you have Section 8, you will need to provide paperwork within 24 hours after your application has been approved.Be prepared to put down a reservation fee equal to one month's rent.  You will be required to make this reservation fee to reserve this unit for you no more than 2 hours after your application has been approved.Check the neighborhood around the house to make sure that this is the area you would like to live.Check the space, layout, and quality of the apartment. Make sure you feel comfortable.Ask any other questions that are on your mind.

3) When do I complete an application online? How old do I have to be?
Once you have identified a unit that you are interested in, you will need to complete an online application at www.dasaproperties.com.  All applicants (over the age of 18) must fully complete (all sections) of the online application and must do so honestly before they will be considered for tenancy.

4) What are the income requirements?
Gross Income must be no less than three times the rent.  For Example:  If your combined income is $3000 per month, you will be able to look for a unit that is less than $1000 per month.  You will be required to provide the following:Proof of income (two most recent paystubs, Budget Sheet, Section 8, 1099) Proof of residence (utility bills)Contact Information for previous landlords  (provide on application)Falsifying any information on the application will be immediately disqualified.  ​​​​​​​

5) What does the background check consist of?
Once it is confirmed you meet the income requirements, we will request a background check to be conducted from a third-party agency.  Our background check and screening requires $20.00 fee which must be paid at the time the application is submitted online. This background check is valid for 60 days and can be used to qualify for any of our units we have for rent.    Failure to complete the application in full, attach correct documentation will result in your application not being processed.

6) What is the approval process of my submitted application?
Upon review of the submitted application, screening and supporting documentation, each application will be reviewed between our leasing agent and property owner.  Upon final review, an applicant will be accepted to the Unit. Anyone not approved will receive a phone call stating you were not chosen for the unit.  The decision will be made within one business day.

7) Reservation Fee & Signing of Disclosure Notice
Once your Application has been approved, we will be required a reservation fee, which is equal to one month’s rent within two hours to guarantee the unit to you.  Once you move into the unit, this reservation fee will be applied to your security deposit or first month’s rent.
