9) WHAT ARE YOUR POLICIES ON SAFETY AND SECURITY?
We take our tenant’s safety and security very seriously.  As such we have a multi-faceted approach (http://www.communityroomrental.com/safety--security.html)to not only creating safety and protection but also offer ease of mind to whom you’ll be living with.

10) How long of a lease do I need to sign?
We have leases ranging from 6-month to year long leases. Longer leases give you a discount of course!

11) How do you handle utility payments?
Easy! All utilities are included. Trash, water, sewage, wifi, gas and electricity.

12) Do you provide cable?
We want the house to be interactive and TV seems to always shut that down. However, you are free to put a TV in your room, attach an antenna or stream content.

13) How big are the rooms?
Depends upon the house. Each house has rooms ranging from large master bedrooms to guest rooms. Some have large rooms above garages, former rec rooms, and many other options. Best to schedule some time to check it out for yourself and see if it fits your needs.

14) If something else in the community becomes available, can I switch out?
Yes, you can transition to another room or another location and we won’t consider it a break of your lease.

15) How do I know I’ll have house mates I’ll get along with and that are truly like-kind?
We have several steps we go through for every applicant to make sure they fit the house. Couch potatoes need not apply! Each applicant is interviewed, must pass a criminal background search, and agree to the common house guidelines. This weeds out those that just want a cheap place!

16) Are the bedrooms themselves furnished?
The house comes fully furnished with the items in the kitchen, living room and shared spaces you need to live comfortably.  However, we do not furnish bedrooms directly. However, we have a partnership with Ikea to obtain the Essentials Kit (http://www.communityroomrental.com/furnishing.html) for furnishing your room on a budget.

17) How much is the security deposit and is it fully refundable?
$400 of the security deposit and $300 is refundable.
