The Preston Apartments at Falls Center combine style and convenience like no other location in Philadelphia. Entering the front gate you are greeted by a year-round display of foliage and flowers from the many planting beds and stands of mature trees on the grounds. As you pass through the 40-foot-high classical columns at the front entrance, our team will greet you in the restored grand lobby of this historic 1929 building.

The Preston represents the exciting rebirth of the historic Women’s Medical College (WMCP). Women’s Medical College was the first medical school for women in the United States and it opened its doors here in 1929. The gracious architecture, mature trees, and 12 acre campus setting reflect the site’s storied past as a college and hospital, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Anne Preston was the first graduate of WMCP and later became the first female dean in the United States. We selected our name in honor of Dr. Preston and are pleased to offer residents a lifestyle based on health and wellness in celebration of the buildings origins.
