Participation in the RBP or Positive Rent Reporting is not a condition of approval or continued tenancy, and declining either will not affect the rent amount, security deposit, or any protected tenant rights under the Los Angeles Rent Stabilization Ordinance (LARSO), the Los Angeles County Rent Stabilization and Tenant Protections Ordinance (RSTPO), or California Civil Code (AB 1482). All residents are required to maintain at least $100,000 in liability coverage, either through the RBP or a qualifying policy of their choice.
